Painting Analysis and Refinement
/Painting Analysis and Refinement
I have never filmed me refining a painting to completion before.
My typical painting process is to "Paint First, Then Think", meaning to paint without thinking using my right brain then once I feel the need to stop, I take time to analyze the painting with my left brain.
I usually film the Paint First part, but not the Then Think. This time I have turned the tables to show the Then Think and not the Paint First.
I analyzed the painting and made a written list of items to address (correct). Most have to do with lightening the value of several areas of the painting.
You'll see me describe items on the list of needed corrections, then proceed to address and correct each on the painting until the painting is complete and ready for hanging.
