Just Start
/Just Start
What are you waiting for? Just Start
Do you want to learn how to paint? Just Start
Do you want to learn to sell your work? Just Start
Do you want to turn your art hobby into a business? Just Start
The most difficult part of any project is starting. We often don't want to start something because we know it will be hard. But you'll never know amazing or fulfilling something will be unless you start.
Here's a quote I love from Nolan Bushnell, the founder of Atari and Chuck-E-Cheese: "The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer not a dreamer."
Starting is the key to everything in life. Nothing will happen unless you decide to start. Starting provides momentum and momentum is huge for any project because it begins to propel you forward. Moving forward with a life of it's own in a positive direction is what we hope for everything we do, and it all begins with starting.
As artists we're doers. We learn everything by doing, not sitting around thinking about how to do something. But to do we have to start.
My advice: whatever it is that you want to do, Just Start.
